The Department of Agriculture aims to provide future Agriculturists with broader scientific knowledge so that they can design and implement modern and innovative methods in Agriculture with the ultimate goal of producing, processing and marketing quality agricultural products, within the framework of sustainable development and environmental protection.

The ultimate goal of the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture is to train scientists who will contribute to the development of the production of animal products and fish, with high nutritional value, attractiveness and safety for consumers, and who will be able to occupy high-level job positions both in Greece and abroad.

The Department of Food Science & Technology deals with the production and processing of food that is an integral part of human life and health. Given that in recent decades we have increasingly realized the enormous importance of nutrition, not only for health but also for the quality of our lives, there is a strong need for scientific knowledge to be produced, developed and transferred to society through highly qualified scientists in this field.

The Department of Sustainable Agriculture focuses on the sustainable, efficient and equitable management of natural capital and the rural environment that participates in the production of food and raw materials and supports biodiversity and ecosystem services.
